Project Title: Entries

Around the edges of the city there are spaces one may not wish to pass through. Belfast's architecture of confinement generates a sense of foreboding and a psyche that is in itself inescapable. In these passageways and dead-ends terrible events have taken place. A peaceful agreement has arrived but the inherency of violence and repression endures. Areas that had been hit hardest have stagnated with lack of investment or interest, and now exist in the shadows. Scars remain, with new ones being made, inside and out.
